*WHAT I THINK:*I am impressed that Non-Muslims/Non-Arabs are starting to care about the crisis going on in Palestine and are trying to stop the massacres that are happening to the Palestinians. One way to stop what is happening in Palestine is to bring the attention of the people around you is by using your talent and allowing your voice to be heard. One way is through art. It does not matter where you are from and who you are. We can all make our voices heard and save many innocent lives.

Then she saw the impact of the movie "Hotel Rwanda," and how Muslims were depicted in movies such as "The Siege" and "Black Hawk Down.""I just cringed every time I saw another Muslim terrorist character on the movie screen," said Khan, a 23-year-old Muslim who lives in Rancho Cucamonga.She started taking film classes and graduated in 2006 with degrees in history, political science and filmmaking.The filmmaking degree and desire to change the way Muslims are seen on the screen led Khan to submit three short films to a nationwide online film contest aimed at promoting understanding of Muslims through stories, not stereotypes. All three were selected as finalists.The contest is sponsored by One Nation, a philanthropic collaborative aimed at challenging misconceptions about Muslims, and Link TV, a satellite television network devoted to global issues that is available to 30 million people in the United States. *WHAT I THINK:
I like how Lena made videos that show people what Muslims are all about. Her videos may focus on what is Islam, but they also point out OUR (us Muslims) flaws. When you actually think about it, most of us are not happy about our Islam, and will do anything to hide the fact we are Muslims. This is the opposite of what we really should be doing: going around and show that we are proud to be Muslims. It would be nice if all of us, at least as a class, make a video with the same ideas as Lena Khan's videos. It would show how much we care about the image of our religion.
P.S.: The song played in "A Land Called Paradise" is sung by a Muslim Country singer, named Karim Salama, who was born here to Egyptian parents. If you want a video of his interview, i believe with CNN or FOX, please tell me.

But what if you witnessed "Islamophobia" in action and saw someone being victimized because of someone else's prejudices? What would you do? ABC's production crew outfitted The Czech Stop, a bustling roadside bakery north of Waco, Texas, with hidden cameras and two actors. One played a female customer wearing a traditional Muslim head scarf, or hijab. The other acted as a sales clerk who refused to serve her and spouted common anti-Muslim and anti-Arab slurs. The polarity of reactions was shocking, from support to seething disapproval. Never did we expect customers to be so passionate or candid. For more, go to:

WHAT I THINK:
1st: After watching the video, the man who gives a 'thumbs up' to the "clerk" does not know that he is not an American either. The only true Americans are the Native Americans, and everyone else traces back to their roots in Europe, Asia, or Africa. 2nd: The media feeds so much false information about Muslims and Islam to Non-Muslims. This is what causes "Islamophobia". They regard us with hatred and talk to us rudely because of things they have been told. Why can't they ask a Muslim or research more about Islam, instead of being so ignorant about something you really don't know about. 3rd: I must say, i am very impressed by the costumers who confronted the "clerk" and told him how disgusting and rude it is to say such ignorant things to the Muslim woman.
